Overview
Creator Match is seeking a Creator Marketing Manager, YouTube Specialist to lead creator-side strategy, talent selection, negotiations, and execution across YouTube marketing campaigns for B2B, SaaS, AI, and technology brands.
We’re looking for someone who understands the YouTube creator ecosystem, can identify valuable partnerships, negotiate competitive rates, and oversee successful sponsored content from sourcing through publication.
The CMM works alongside the Account Manager, YouTube Specialist, who owns client relationships, campaign objectives, budgets, and client-side success. The CMM owns creator strategy, sourcing, commercial negotiations, creator relationships, and creator-side outcomes.
Each CMM is partnered with a dedicated Creator Associate who handles primary creator-side execution. The CMM directs priorities, reviews work, manages escalations, and remains accountable for results.
Role Summary
The Creator Marketing Manager, YouTube Specialist combines platform expertise, commercial judgment, and creator relationship management to deliver successful YouTube partnerships.
This role requires a strong understanding of channel performance, sponsorship economics, long-form content, production workflows, and how YouTube differs from short-form influencer marketing.
The CMM oversees execution through the Creator Associate and supportsing Creator Coordinators and Draft Reviewers, while retaining ownership of creator-side strategy, approvals, escalations, and outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Creator Strategy & Talent Selection
- Turn campaign briefs into YouTube sourcing strategies and recommend creator mixes, formats, and approaches that fit objectives and budgets
- Evaluate channels on audience relevance, views, retention, engagement, content quality, and brand safety, not subscriber counts alone
- Direct Creator Associates on sourcing and present creator selections to clients alongside the Account Manager
- Flag competitor conflicts and exclusivity issues, and spot emerging talent and repeat partnership opportunities
- Present talent across multiple clients for YouTube expansion
Sponsorship & Content Strategy
- Advise on sponsorship formats (dedicated videos, integrations, pre-/mid-roll, Shorts), integration placement, messaging, and CTAs
- Balance brand requirements with creator authenticity and audience trust
- Recommend creative approaches, multi-video packages, and recurring sponsorships
Rates & Negotiations
- Set creator rates using performance history, audience quality, deliverables, usage rights, and benchmarks such as CPM, EMV, etc. and cost per view
- Own negotiations with creators and talent managers, covering counteroffers, packages, exclusivity, and licensing
- Approve offers, communicate budget implications to the Account Manager, and ensure terms are accurately documented
Campaign & Content Oversight
- Own creator-side execution from sourcing through production, publication, and follow-up
- Oversee production milestones and resolve delays, missed commitments, and scope changes
- Provide strategic review of scripts and video drafts, partnering with Draft Reviewers on quality and brand alignment
- Oversee verification of tracking links, promo codes, and FTC/YouTube disclosures
Creator Relationships & Performance
- Own strategic relationships with creators, talent managers, and agencies, and manage creator-side escalations
- Analyze creator-level results against channel history and benchmarks, and recommend improvements
- Identify top performers for rebooking and long-term partnerships
- Share creator insights with Account Managers and maintain accurate creator CRM records
Team Direction & Collaboration
- Direct, review, and coach the assigned Creator Associate, and delegate coordination tasks to Creator Coordinators
- Partner with Account Managers within clear ownership lines: the AM owns client relationships, KPIs, budgets, and reporting, while the CMM owns creator strategy, negotiations, and creator-side execution
- Collaborate with Draft Reviewers, Account Coordinators, contracts, finance, and leadership
- Contribute to YouTube best practices, benchmarks, training, and process improvements
- Stay up to date with YouTube trends and resources to amplify client success
